I believe that last tweet about the payouts was made because some JSU alumni said that basically we (us and them) have been getting ripped off for years under the current contract. Literally like the day after the JSU alum tweeted that, the SHC made this tweet.

I feel the same about their reasoning behind the tweet about payouts. But the one that gets my attention is them talking about how much they love tsu. Fbschedules.com don't have us in that game past this year, I don't think. I think Allen is playing hardball. Hopefully he has a nice plan B already in the works.

I think we’re playing North Carolina A&T State that weekend next year.

According to fbschedules.com, we play A&T Labor Day weekend next year. The second Saturday is still open. What's interesting is the return game in Greensboro slated for 2028, is on the second Saturday of September. Usually, that's reserved for the SHC. So, unless the SHC moves to 9/16 in 2028 (the 3rd Saturday), it does seem like we'll be out of the game in 2028. Now if week 1 is 8/25 in 2028, then 9/2 would be designated week 2. Maybe the SHC could be on the 9/2 in 2028. Just trying to connect the dots here. fbschedules.com/ncaa/tennessee-state/

Y you pure right, the A&T game is Labor Day weekend, which is in most cases the JMC. The earliest we’ve played the SHC is 9/8 and the latest 9/14. So, to your point, 2028 is interesting.

As a Memphian, I love the SHC and what it means to the city, and it heavily influenced my decision to attend a HBCU; specifically TSU. As a TSU alum, we have to be about business. It's why I was never upset about JSU's exit - if they can draw 50k at a home game, $20 per ticket, there's no reason for them to travel anywhere to play. Now WE clearly are not drawing that at home games currently, so $300k right now is a better deal for us than them. But, that's all the more reason why we need those types of matchups in our stadium; so that we can hopefully get closer to those numbers.

Purchase season tickets. One season ticket is only $125. That’s equivalent to a dinner date with your significant other.

Help me understand!
For years, there has been complaints about how much JSU, TSU were paid.
Has anyone considered the cost of bringing in great entertainment, renting the Mid-South Coliseum and the other item that Jones is responsible for.
It cost money.
Perhaps, Jones need to be in charge of the JMC. Oh, I forgot that idea was entertained once. The JMC "crows" in Nashville, had a fit. At the same time attendance at the JMC was declining.
