I say maybe 14K at the game? LOL . . . that reverse on the kickoff they just ran was absolutely horrible. TSU needs to take complete control of this game, and not let them hang around.
Damn . . . if this was golf, my tee shot would be 2 inches away from the hole.
Attendance: 13,975
And this was against a HBCU, with their band in town.
A study needs to be done as to why Homecoming attendance has dropped so far. I have my theories, but a true analysis needs to be done on this.
14K for a TSU homecoming, on a fairly nice day, is definite cause for concern. At least until they get a temporary jolt in the arm when the new stadium is built.
Yep Supporter, you called it. When are we going to Vegas???

I agree with Eddie's answer 100%. None of those guys are consistent, so why stick with one? Go with the guy who may be playing the best at that moment, to give the team a chance to win. Plus, it SHOULD keep both guys sharp throughout the week, because they know that they'll get a series or two to play in the game.
But Draylen threw a touchdown and was taken out on the next drive for Bryant. And then Bryant threw a touchdown and was replaced with Draylen in the next drive. None of this supports the rationale of sticking with the hot hand.

There were a ton of fans who never made it into the game or parking lot. The traffic was horrible with no Police support nor anyone directing traffic. My family and I never made it into the game, at 5:45 I was stuck near Shoney's restaurant (Stadium INN) with a ton of "Road Raging Fans!! Oh yes, it was 3:30 when I hit the James Robertson Road Ramp!!! Horrible Fan Support!! BVTiger, man I was so pissed off at the lack of traffic help from police. Them m-efers did nathan to help with traffic control. They just sat in their cruisers. Sums of biotchers.

Need the NBA season to start, so I can get back in the black.

Some will not like this, but I think all tailgaters should be required to purchase a game ticket in addition to the tailgating space. All parking passes for the game should require a purchase of a game ticket.I think is was A&T, faced the same issues years ago. Their policy changed, no game ticket - no tailgating!. I can see TSU folks saying "how you gonna charge us for a game ticket, we are just tailgating, NISSAN belong to the City, not TSU. Had a conversation with a friend about support for TSU. My point was I am a graduate of TSU, not EG or Collins University. So I support TSU. The only problem with having tailgaters purchase a ticket is…how do you police it? Someone can literally walk off the street and directly into a tailgating area. There’s no one or barrier stopping anyone from doing it. We must first find a way to manage tailgating. I will go one step further and tell them to turn off the loud speaker at the start of the game, and have them pack their crap up by the end of the 1st quarter.

This is all the more reason why the games need to be on campus. They would have the ability to set up make shift gates until the area could be fenced in like a courtyard.

Point proven! I have to disagree. Our base shows up for rivals or if we're winning (dominating). This is our first meeting with Norfolk that I can recall. As much as I love the Spartan Legion, we reside in SWAC country in terms of bands...our fans don't know Norfolk. That's not a shot to Norfolk, just pointing that out. I can't speak for others, but I never said just play any HBCU. That was never the issue. It's losing the rivals off the schedule that's plaguing those that want to see HBCU bands. The reason many push for the SWAC is because all of our rivals (past & present) reside there, with the exception of Kentucky State. I doubt at this point KSU will move the needle anyways. A D-II or MEAC HBCU won't do much for increasing attendance (maybe A&T). It would have to be one of these 8 SWAC schools : AAMU, FAMU, Grambling, Southern, JSU, Bama State, Alcorn, or UAPB (possibly).

Back when DII (or whatever they were) Central State was a power, We had some good match ups in Louisville and Indy. I attended those games... Not so much anymore. I also attended a game in ATL at Morris Brown (DII). No one made a huge difference between DI and DII back then.

"Back than" it was just small colleges and university all bunch up together. Having said that, it's not "back than" anymore.

So, in other words, you’re saying that we have to depend on these 7 or 8 schools to get a decent crowd to come watch our team play. That’s a sad state of affairs.
