Agree, TSU emphasis, is football and basketball is slowly coming along. Coach Cheese, is cool, calm and collective. She is working with what she has, which is not much.
I am wondering what is the recruiting budget.
I recall when she became head coach. Coach Cheese, had a lot of opposition when she was selected.

The disturbing thing about the Big Blue Sports Network videos, are the lack of views. I'm glad the channel exists, but they need more views. These videos are high quality and give a great insight into the mind of Eddie, and the university as a whole. And I love that upload of the TSU vs Murray St OVC Championship in 1993. Carlos Rogers completely dominated that game.

The AAC 6 School expansion will inevitably start movement from the Sun Belt Conference to the Conference USA which will subsequently cause movement from the FCS level schools into the Sun Belt Conference. The Sun Belt is made up mostly of southern and southwest schools. Who from the FCS level will be chosen and move up???

I will purposely leave off some SWAC schools that have express and interest in the past of moving to FBS and would be perfect fits for the SUNBELT... Jacksonville State is the first to come my mind as a candidate, Kennesaw State is another Wishful thinking ----> NCA&T, TSU (attendance gonna need massive improvement) We will see who is left if Conference USA takes schools from SUNBELT |

Why leave them off? It's just speculative conversation. Your are right... JSU ---> major support and the Southern Heritage would continue on... FAMU ---> they tried already and may jump at the chance to go FBS if opportunity knock. Not sure what would happen to Florida classic. |

It wouldn't surprise me if famu tried to jump again. And I doubt they are waiting on the rest of their current conference. Looking at their future football schedules, I'd say that's their plan all along. Whenever they do make the move, I imagine the Florida classic will have at least a couple years of life left, if bcu keeps things interesting.
I want to see what JSU next recruiting class is going to look like. Then I'll feel better making speculation there.

If anything, it's going to be the Conference USA schools that will be looking to join the Sun Belt The issue with Conference USA, is that they do not have a TV contract with ESPN, which is unbelievable to be honest. Finding a Conference USA game on TV is tougher than finding a nun at a strip club. The Sun Belt is probably the 2nd most powerful Group of 5 conference, behind the Mountain West. The AAC, Conference USA, and the MAC are behind the Sun Belt these days. Conference USA is in deep trouble. With Charlotte, Rice, UTSA, UAB, FAU, and North Texas making the jump to the AAC, this is all you have left in Conference USA. - Marshall

- Southern Miss
Marshall and Western KY could jump to the MAC. Matter of fact, expect that to happen soon.
If it does, all you have left is MTSU, UTEP, ODU, La Tech and Southern Miss in the conference. That's just 5 teams.
I think if anything, most of those remaining teams join the Sun Belt

That would bring the Sun Belt to 14 teams. It would be nice if TSU could put themselves in the position to being one of 2 teams that would be added to the Sun Belt along with another HBCU like Jackson St.
I fully believe that if JSU starts to dominate the SWAC, they will develop a "God complex" that will put them above their SWAC brothers, and entice them to make the jump to FBS ( with Deion being the megaphone behind it ).
