HU Team and Player stats
On paper we are a better team but I expect a tough outing early on but I feel like the Tigers are more talented on both sides of the ball.

I think it will be similar to this past week's game.

We definitely need to come to play. It's their homecoming and they've had somewhat of a disappointing season so far. While Howard is talented, it hasn't translated to wins. I would prefer HU not find their groove against us. Their defense is tough, but I think their defense loses their edge when their offense isn't producing.
If our offense & special teams can play mistake free football and our defense keeps their running game in check, I like our chances. Their two RBs are good (#2 & #5 Edgerrin James's son)...especially, #2.
Our offense showed life last night! I hope they can keep that momentum going. Karate Brenson plays with an edge...I love it! I hope we keep finding ways to get him the ball! Draylen played well yesterday as well...keep it going!

The game against Sacred Heart, was embarrassing, tough HU barely won 21-13 SH, beat Norfolk State - 10-3.

If TSU can play the way they did in 2nd half of the Lindenwood and EIU games, they will beat HU.
Like this past week, TSU shouldn't pay attention to HU's record. HU will come to play, especially since it is the 100th anniversary of their homecoming. TSU can't get caught up in the HU homecoming talk. TSU has to stay focused on the game and nothing but the game.
Yes, I believe we are better team than HU and for that matter, I think we're a better team than what we've seen so far. Like others, I'm still waiting to see them play strong from beginning to end. As we approach UTM and SEMO we can't have defensive lapses like we did against EIU at the end of the 2nd quarter. And, while I still think we would have won the game, EIU had some key players sidelined.
Now, HU has not played well this season. The only game one can say they mostly controlled was their game against D2 Morehouse. However, even in that game they had their struggles. Similarly, HU has struggled against several teams that have poor records on the season. They had close wins over 2-5 Mercyhurst and 3-4 Sacred Heart. Both of those wins came late in the 4th qtr. I watched portions of both and I was not impressed with HU at all. They also lost 30-13 to a 1-3 Princeton. Now, they did initially play well against Rutgers. The halftime score was 10-7. Rutgers would go on to win the game 44-7. But, considering Rutgers is a Big10 member, it was impressive that HU played a close first half with them. So, TSU has to know that HU has potential. They keep fighting and I suspect they will do the same against TSU.
I think our Big Blue Tigers have that taste of victory in their mouths and hunger for it growing in their bellies. It showed against Lindenwood and definitely against EIU. I think they will cook and serve up a win over HU. Bison is high in protein and tender. Our tigers will savor that meat and build up for the remaining BSOVC schedule.
GO BIG BLUE!!! GO TSU!!!

Does Mike Organ not have anything better to discuss on social media. See, this is why HBCU football games can easily get reduced to being about everything else but the game. Hey Mike how about providing the people in Nashville better coverage of each TSU football game before and after? How about giving us an analysis of key players on each team to assess the match-up? Hey Mike, have you reached out the the coaching staff at HU to get their comments about the upcoming game and how they see TSU as an opponent on the field?

This used to be a hangup of mine for years. A fresh body is the only thing that will hopefully change the type of coverage we receive.
