This is rough to watch. That Oline is good and that QB matches. At this point 4th in ovc might be accurate.

NDSU will obviously start playing some of their 2nd teamers in the 2nd half.
Let's see how much pride TSU have, to finish the rest of this game.
Offense with 103 yds and 5 first downs. The big stat is zero turnovers.
Defense has given up 293 yds and 16 first downs . . and 5 TDs
Talent gap is obviously in the trenches.
Only way to improve that group dramatically on both sides of the ball, is through the transfer portal. High school kids aren't strong enough or ready for a game like this.

I'm disappointed in the effort. They are not Superman. I just wish they looked at them like they are MVSU instead of NDSU. They look scared to me. I don't like that. They're playing like bitches... Agree 100% 1st half, TSU, can be summed up! Poor Play No Excuse Poor Execution - Defense and Offense. If Ellis, can't do any better. Replace him with Carter. |

That's how good they are. Ellis looks to be OK, and poised to have a pretty good year. The fact that TSU doesn't have a #1 at RB is very concerning. The backup QB is bigger than all of our RBs. |

Well, the last time we played (not counting MVSU), we were boat-raced by TTU 35-0. That didn't just go away in an off-season. We're closer to losing to TTU than we are to beating NDSU.

All I can say is NDSU is not an FCS team. The Fargodome is closer to an on-campus NFL stadium than a college stadium. How can we possibly compete with a school with facilities like NDSU. Why don't they stop perpetrating an FCS and find a way to move up.
The experience was nice and the people are very friendly. Felt like a south hospitality type environment... This let's us know how we stack up against the best system in the land. By system I mean all aspects of putting a product on the field.

As far as the game goes. We just got beat by a much better team. That being said, we made our share of mistakes. We dropped passes and we did not take care of the ball.. Did NDST hold and block us in the back??? YESSSS!!!! but that is not why we loss.
Having the ball on the 1-inch line and not able to punch it in sums up why we are not in the same universe as NDSU.
We played with heart but let us face the fact that although we are improved, and the QB is not running for his life and getting sacked. We still are not physically mature enough up front to compete with the likes of NDSU.

With that comment, I really wish we integrate a full back into offense. I'm just old school I guess, but I like seeing a RB follow a FB through the line.

I really think the FB was the plan when we hired Roehl...but of course that went away. That said, if EG really wants a smash mouth brand of football, he needs to make sure that we sign a FB in every class.
