I know there are a lot of people writing off TSU against #2 NDSU.
Don't under estimate The Big Blue. They will be ready!!!

I just want the team to compete and give good effort and let the chips fall where they may.
But lets be clear this will not be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. This program has routinely beat decent & good FBS progams throughout the years and CU was close to being another vic.
This game will be a good barometer of possibly how this team may stack up against UTM & SEMO.

Agreed, this will be a barometer on where we are in the FCS landscape, program wise.
Our line of scrimmage and play calling will be put through the biggest test we'll see on our schedule. NDSU D-line was having their way with Colorado's O-line.
We just need to play a clean, complete game. If our lines come to play, I like our chances.

NDSU blames it on their starting safety (All-American I believe) being out, but their secondary was trash vs Colorado. If he's still out and we can pass protect and get receivers running routes, we may be able to hit some big plays downfield.
Overall, we ran the ball pretty well Saturday but got stopped on a couple of 3rd and shorts that we will have to convert to keep NDSU's offense off the field.

Normally you are on point with your assessment but I will have to push back on this one and say in large part without Travis Hunter; NDSU wins that game.

I guess I was saying that their secondary seemed a step (or 2 or 3) slow almost all night...every time a Colorado WR got loose, it was huge. I guess I'm hoping that it wasn't just Hunter, but that we can get one or 2 off also.

Honestly, a couple of receivers had big games for Colorado. Horn Jr. led CU with 198 yards receiving. While Travis was the star, he wasn't the only receiver that got loose on NDSU's secondary.
I'll stop short of saying NDSU's secondary is bad, because I don't believe that. However, the secondary did seem to be the weakest unit on what is a strong defense.
The corner (#17) that shadowed Hunter was pretty good. Travis is just elite. It'll be interesting to see if we test him or go away from him.
The two things that caught my eye with NDSU: 1. NSDU controlled the line of scrimmage for most of the game. Seemed like Colorado had to rely on big plays. Offensively, either chunk plays and/or Travis Hunter magic. Defensively, sending blitzes. 2. NDSU QB's scrambling ability. Even when CU's defense played well, he made good decisions on when to tuck it and run, versus staying in the pocket. He had more running TDs than passing.

Of course, they're solid everywhere. But of all the areas, secondary was where they were vulnerable. Our defensive front is pretty good, so I believe we can give them some problems there.

Yeah, I think our talent and depth along the D-line will show up Saturday. We'll need our LBs and DBs to do their job. No missed assignments and stay disciplined. Departed O.C., Tyler Roehl, mentioned multiple looks is something he liked to use at NDSU. They do a great job scheming to make your eyes see one thing, while they execute something else. Our D-line can keep their O-line off our LBs and DBs...we just need those units to keep their assignments and limit mistakes. I thought our offensive play calling this past week was refreshing compared to what we've seen in the past. I hope it's even better this coming week. Dean is the real deal at WR. I liked that Karate and Da'Shon had a big game too. If we can get our running game going against their defense, I like our chances.
