It's unfortunate. I think a lot of the players from TSU feel they are going to be picked up by a FBS program - maybe Bryce. Sometimes, it's better to remain where you are.
Anyway, time move on!

A freshman may need to go JUCO and bounce back. If they just want PT, they may need to drop down a level. If they think they are capable of playing FBS, more power to them. Will likely get less exposure.

This makes me feel like the DB coach may be leaving. That's a lot of DBs. All hurt for different reasons (w/ the exception of Drake). Bryce was our top CB. Jashon was experience and skilled enough to be a starter again. I'm assuming he had bad grades, not sure why he didn't play this year. Lastly, King hurts because he's a young guy that knows our system and had good size.
In fact, we just lost 3 DBs that were 6'0 or taller. We just got extremely smaller in the secondary.
I can't lie, our low attendance probably didn't help either. No one wants to play in an empty stadium. I'm sure NIL plays a bigger role as well, but we have to take care of what we can. We as a school have to show better.
Just saw a list of top 10 HBCU homecoming attendance, No TSU. There were D-II schools with more. Pretty sure CAU and Tuskegee implemented what many on here have asked for, which is charging people to enter the tailgate area.

Well looking from the bright side, we may have a few more scholarships to offer.

He posted yesterday about Dion Villers being next man up.

The last two are not big surprises. Drake and Abe. They didn't get any playing time, I understand.

I think they had gotten beaten out and were/are looking for playing time.

Looking at the transfer portal via 247sports.com, to see what other schools are losing players. While they are not updating FCS schools for the most part, there was one that jumped out (Harvard). Harvard had a pretty good year, not to mention the incentive of a Harvard degree. Yet I can count 7/8 players already in the portal. MTSU has lost a few as well. 247sports.com/Season/2024-Football/TransferPortal/

The Transfer Portal, is like TV Soap Oprah. Some of the household names are moving on "maybe".
I am surprised Mississippi State QB Will Rogers, is in the portal. He was the man for MSU. Michigan State QB Noah Kim Ohio State EDGE Omari Abor Florida International WR Kris Mitchell Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson
I guess, most will try to secure a position with Michigan or Georgia.
