I did see Dr. Glover tweet it, so she is aware. But I do agree, national media should be all over it. I saw the tweet (X post). We may see a different Dr Glover now that she is "free". Thats what I’m hoping for. And as DC said, I think this is going to be her position once she leaves TSU. We really need someone to push their buttons to give us our money.

We really need someone to push their buttons to give us our money. The position has already been place, since 2021. At that time there were rumors Dr. Glover, at some point would be leaving. Tennessee State University President Glenda Glover was recently appointed by President Joe Biden to serve on the President's Board of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The announcement comes as Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, an HBCU graduate, continue to commit to supporting HBCUs despite some criticism that recent budget packages don't do enough for historically Black colleges and universities. www.tennessean.com/story/news/education/2021/12/16/president-joe-biden-appoints-tennessee-state-university-president-glenda-glover-board-advisors-hbcus/8928180002/

Unfortunately, Dr glover's doesn't have the support on the local level to push this through.
The focus should be on identifying state level candidates that would be in support of TSU getting its full funding.
Some of of articles stated that Current state officials said that we only needed 250 million dollars. I have never heard that state official make this claim.
Lying isn't going to ensure that we get our full funding. I also want to remind everyone that Harold Love Jr through his father's research started this conversation.

True, no support from the Black Caucus. I could be incorrect. But going back, to one of the meetings with the Comptroller, Dr. Glover, mentioned only needing $250M. I think it was the meeting where the college presidents were presenting their budgets. The one where Dr. McPhee, had a lot of graphics and Dr. Glover, just made a comment.

The democrat party has done nothing for black Americans. In fact Malcom X warned black Americans about the "white liberal" 60 years ago. The scariest thing for a white democrat is a educated, strong, successful black American. Not saying the Republican Party is the answer. The Republican party sold out black Americans in 1876 when the Republican Party ended reconstruction for political power.

I still have a question, someone please help.
The Fed's were sending money [correct] the state were to match [correct] - for several years the state [failed to match] correct. If I am correct, the issue is with the state, not the Feds [correct].
My question is, if TSU and other HBCU's failed to monitor their State Matches, to ensure they were receiving matching funds from the State.
What is the purpose of Glover meeting with the Feds. Did TSU have a staff member monitoring the programs. If not why.

The question of if or why didn't the school have someone watching the funds has been asked a few times. I haven't seen/ heard an answer. What I'm curious about now is if ans will the federal government put some muscle behind this "shame on you" letter that they released.

Harold Love Sr. Found the errors and the state did nothing. They even found the documents that showed that they were taking funds from TSU.

Did TSU have a staff member monitoring the programs. If not why. In the State of Texas, the multiple presidents for the two public HBCUs requested (the lone HBCU Board argued for) the matching funds during their tenure, Black legislative officials pushed for the funds, alumni sought for the funds, and Black activists fought for the funds. For lack of a better framework, they were simply ignored. The Republican control legislature would wait for the Federal funds and then allocated far less funds based on that allotment. Over the last ten-years Texas Southern has not received the appropriations they sought in the biannual request. Much of it was needed for deferred maintenance projects throughout the campus.

No Absolutely not. It's not the Republicans or Democrats responsibility to monitor programs within a university. It's the responsibility of the school to have a staff that monitor their programs. When the schools conduct audits on allocated federal fundings, with the understanding there should be state matching funds in place, and there are not. Someone should be asking questions [correct]. If not, then there must be a reason why. If the a university said "we requested" the funding there should be a paper trail.
True, "For lack of a better framework, they were simply ignored." and the question is why? Can't blame that on the Democrats or Republicans. If, Texas Southern requested the funds and have a paper trail to prove they requested the matching funds - make it public.
As cited during several audit findings at TN State -there has been a lack of follow-up - documentation in several areas. I know that's true for some areas, during my years working with the state. TSU and other Colleges and Universities, was contacted to participate in several studies related to Transportation. For several months, there was no response from TSU. The available funds [Federal and State] was distributed to the other Colleges and Universities.

Concerning the missing TSU funding, Harold Love describes what the state did to get the matching federal funds. They would act like they gave the full match, and then take it back. www.newschannel5.com/news/how-we-can-make-tsu-whole-again-legislators-promise-to-settle-up-missing-land-grant-funding
