Coach Prime understands and gets it! Sanders told his team in a meeting posted online after the game that his decision wasn't about money -- "it's not about a bag" -- but rather the chance to create opportunities for African American coaches. "I feel like I have to do something about it," he said. "There's been four or more African American coaches at the next level that have been terminated. I haven't heard not one other ... than a candidate like myself to replace them. So to me, that's a problem that many don't think about. But that's a problem, if someone doesn't step up and step out, that's a problem." Sanders added: "My challenge is still to provoke change, no matter where I am. I'm 55 and don't plan on changing anytime soon. God made me like this, and I think God is pleased with what he created." www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35168153/sources-deion-sanders-preparing-accept-colorado-coaching-job

Still true about the number of AA Coaches: I am sure "Maybe" salary, facilities and benefits played a role in Prime's decision. Good, deed to retain the current staff, but I am sure one or two will be headed to Boulder. Perhaps, some of the players at TSU, should have listen to Prime's speech before the decided to transfer - I hope a majority of JSU team stay together, I think they will. I think, David Shaw at Stanford, has been around the longest and a lot of those AA Coaches, were terminated because of the W / L or another reason and other programs are like HBCU's want to win.- Stanford, is more about Academics, than Sports per se' - Mickey Joseph - Nebraska omaha.com/news/state-and-regional/crime-and-courts/lincoln-police-mickey-joseph-punched-and-choked-his-wife-during-argument-over-infidelity/article_2291095f-8d09-5ba9-909c-2b78b50084b9.html. Marcus Freeman, at ND (8-4), may be retained, depending if they win a Bowl - the only kink in his resume, maybe the loss to Marshall- Wilie Taggart, left WKU for FSU (9-12) was then hired by FAU (32-31) he was in above his head, people, fans wan to "win"

This does bring up an interesting thing for us as a fan base to consider:
When we get a coach that larger schools want and actively pursue, are we prepared to give a lucrative enough extension to convince a coach to stay? Fortunately that's not something we've really had to deal with, but eventually it will happen. We probably need to start looking at proactive solutions so that we don't end up losing a great coach due to money.

How is coach Prime going to help get more african Americans hired at coaches in the fbs?
Secondly, his statement about saying that he will have the same impact due to the player demographics at CU is flat out wrong. He would have more impact at any HBCU.
We all knew he was going to leave and he did leave it a better place. He should have just left it at that.
HBCU folks fall out rode to hard on him and many refused to call him out when he said stuff wrong. Now they are mad at him for leaving. Yall enabled his behavior.

Thank GOD, people like Coach Prime is proving naysayers wrong and does not need validation from anyone.
As the young folk would say he does not mind getting it out the mud.
I am more apt to believe an individual like Coach Prime who has excelled at every level of football including coaching, when he puts his mouth out there or puts his stamp of approval on something than a Joe Schmo or flabby & out of shape malcontent on the streets. Where I am from, we would call what Coach Prime brings to the table, CREDIBILITY!
Now for those who are paying attention, it's called a COACHING TREE!
I will land my plane there! 🎤

Bomani Jones was right about this dude this whole time.
Negros were so mad at him for expressing his opinion about Coach Prime.
I can't wait his next podcast. It's bigger than celebrity worship

Imagine taking your cues from a sports talking head and podcaster whose purpose is to create talking points and controversy whether he believes it or not.
Seems a little zesty, sassy and chatty patty like... 😂😂😂😂

Imagine taking your cues from a sports talking head and podcaster whose purpose is to create talking points and controversy whether he believes it or not. Seems a little zesty, sassy and chatty patty like if you ask me.. 😂😂😂😂 It's called the field of journalism. He actually graduated from a HBCU Clark Atlanta. He is the culture. I prefer to follow trained professionals. Celebrities aren't my heroes. Coach Prime can do whatever he wants. He said Coach Prime would have more impact at JSU than any pwi. That is true. HBCUS need more funding to continue to produce Black professionals. We do excel at that.

IM SO GLAD that being the CULTURE is not defined by attending a HBCU or not.
