Take it with a grain of salt. They aren't about scheduling anyone they perceive as being weaker than them. Most of their replies were regarding the attempts to schedule FBS schools anyway.
At least they didn't disrespect us for being an HBCU. Unlike our HBCU brothers and sisters who love to say we are just trying to be white just because we aren't in an HBCU conference.

Yeah, people are disrespectful regardless of PWI/HBCU or conference. Trolls will troll, ignorance is ignorance. We want to be the best, we have to play the best. Could careless about their fans! I like what TSU is doing here. What hbcu school said things like this when they heard TnST might be on their schedule and when?

Trying to be "White" Blue Who said it, most of those that's affiliated with the "SWAC" Those comments goes back to the old SWAC Page (FANS), especially, those from JSU and a few other stragglers from other SWAC Schools. There were a few "Negro" announcers saying the same. Some of those clowns were luck to have a job. Right Jafus!

I like what TSU is doing here. What hbcu school said things like this when they heard TnST might be on their schedule and when? .... I said people are disrespectful, never said these were matching comments. However, if we're being honest, I don't see anything that bad in their comments. Probably the least disrespectful "I don't want to play them" comments I've seen. I've seen plenty of worse comments from other PWIs/HBCU posters. However, it's not the majority of posters. You learn some people like disrespectful/provoking comments, while others actually enjoy real conversation. I can give you flat out degrading comments made about TSU from PWI/HBCU posters. I can also do the same from some TSU posters about other schools, both PWI/HBCUs. I won't though, because I genuinely don't care is my point. Why get our panties in a bunch because someone doesn't want to play us? And honestly, of the schools that have something to say, NDSU is one I can't be mad at. They have literally dominated FCS for a decade...a whole DECADE!...Outside of our rivals, I wouldn't be excited to schedule another FCS school either if we were dominating like that. You want competition you deem is better, or perceived as better. They want to play FBS schools, and I get it. However, I'm not a NDSU supporter, and as a TSU alum/supporter, this is good for us. We have to learn to separate business from personal feelings. What's best for TSU?? That's my only concern. Grudges and feelings don't get us where we want to go. Negotiate solid contracts, beat they *** on the field and keep it moving. Simple math lol

Like I tell some of our fans about the athletic dept decisions they don't like. Their tickets don't fuel the engine that runs the train contrary to what they believe. So they don't dictate matters such as that i.e. the lsu game. Secondly people criticizing an hbcu for chasing after fools gold and forsaking what actually made them who they are isn't disrespect. Many would say and rightfully so that TnST are the ones showing the ultimate disrespect.

Many times that was SWAC schools that we grew rivalries with. However, any PWI could get the smoke too. And while I miss those rivarlries, this isn't new. Merritt would've wanted a shot at NDSU.

To each his own, I suppose. Assimilation has its pros and cons. TSU is and historically independent in thought, action and behavior. The legends were intent on playing the best competition no matter who they are and where they reside. That does not amount to assimilation as much as joining a HBCU because others not associated with TSU want us to assimilate to their way of thinking. WE ARE THE TSU BIG BLUE TIGERS!!! "PERIOD" WE WILL PLAY ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!!!!

John Merrit would have had enough sense to understand you didn't have to forsake your culture to do that. The same as Thomas did except that Thomas didn't have the same clout to stop it. But keep telling yourself that no matter how old and tiresome the talking point is.
