I thought I'd do my duty as a fellow OVC fan (EIU) and let fellow Tiger fans know this breaking news. Campbell is currently in the Big South, so now the future OVC/BSC FB Conference in 2023 will consist of the "OVC 6" with Robert Morris (PA), Bryant (RI), Charleston Southern (SC), and Gardner Webb (NC).

The OVC stays taking Ls
Wonder if Robert Morris (PA), Bryant (RI), are petitioning the CAA to join.
Both NCA&T & Hampton made multiple conference jumps in the past 3-5 years but TSU seems unable to make a business decision up to this point and for the life of me I just do not get it.
OVC has lost 5 schools over the past 4 years which is a obvious 🚩.
Why is TSU still in the OVC?

Well, there's no point in beating a dead horse by playing the "we should've" game, but it's obvious that the decision to stay in the OVC has not benefitted us, at all.

When you don't spend on sports, which we haven't in the last 8 years, you lose.
That has nothing to do with the OVC.
The teams that actually left the OVC grew and won championships.
Holding leadership accountable for their mistakes is a convo we ain't ready to have yet.
We would rather try to be positive and blame others.

Both Hampton & NCAT had not won championships in the Big South before bolting to the CAA.
They made a business decision and as we see Campbell is about to make that same business decision without winning Championships

If you're in a bad relationship, you either stay in and continue to suffer, or take the risk to leave the relationship knowing that the current situation is not best for you. And no, you do not have to find a new partner before leaving the current partner. If you know that the relationship with the current partner is toxic, you get out when you can, and worry about a new relationship later. |
