I hope that equates to more butts in the seats, than partying in the parking lot.

At 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the BSOVC, this would be a really good win for the team and the real TSU football fans.
Can't get caught looking at EIU's record. They are still a team that can win. So, lets come out playing strong and end strong. That is the key to winning every game. Including this one.

I would feel a lot more comfortable if we had a running game

This is a big game for the Tigers. Winning this puts in great shape conference-wise heading to Howard and then the break/bye-week. We gotta pull this out.

I would feel a lot more comfortable if we had a running game You said it! Here's to me praying our running game comes alive. We have the RBs. Just need to give them space to move. I'm not putting all of the blame on the offensive line. I've seen a few times where we're in spread and the defense know it's a run. Defense puts 6/7 bodies in the box versus 5 lineman. Without having to account for the QB...defense wins that more time than not. I still would love for us to have some 2/3 TE sets with the more physical TEs. Heck, I'll take an extra lineman if they're smaller but athletic enough to get to the second level quickly. That said, if we come to play, we can win the game. But we won't win if we just show up dressed for a game. Definitely want them to dominate for 4 quarters.

I'm forced to follow the box score while watching a stage play of beauty and the beast. But go Big Blue!!!!

Overall we played well. We should have been up 20-3 at the half, but the defense collapsed with just under two minutes remaining. Then we allowed EIU to score on their first possession of the 3rd. It was initially looking like a momentum swing for EIU early in the 3rd, but our Tigers settled down and then put together some impressive drives on offense and big stops on defense. They put up 14 points in the 3rd and added 7 more early in the 4th to solidify the win.
Other than the laps at the end of the 2nd and at the beginning of the 3rd, TSU showed that they came to play and win.
Way to go BIG BLUE!!!

RIP to the person that was shot and killed on Jefferson St around the time the game started. Also, 9 other people shot/injured including some kids 12 or 13 yrs old.

Attendance: 7,875
And we're not going to blame the opponent, because TSU has played Eastern Illinois before for homecoming, and put 20,000+ in Nissan Stadium.
I guess we blame the limited parking around the stadium? The $30+ downtown parking?
And then 1/2 of that crowd seemed to leave right after halftime . . . as usual.
I guess TSU "as a whole" just doesn't love football games any more.

Supporter:
You're Absolutely right I've had the same seats for over 20 years and commented to my wife that now you can tell those folks who come to the game for the GAME and those who just come to the game. The people in the seats behind us talked about everything but the game until half time then left after the band. The overall Crowd was never really into the game. I recall when we first went to Nissan stadium the crowd was really into the GAME now people are just there. And the STUDENTS. need I say more

Simply put, our game attendance is deplorable. While being in the OVC doesn't help, there is more to this than conference affiliation. You can't blame Covid anymore. We're well beyond that being a concern. I also don't think it has anything to do with Coach George anymore.
TSU just isn't reaching fans nor creating new ones.
As for the students, our previous president cut class days to four. So, they treat every weekend like a holiday and go home. They aren't even hanging around for HC.
The cultural shift has become embedded. I'm not sure what is being done to reverse it or to create a new direction.
