Well. I was willing to give another year, but since the door is open........... let's try and snag the prize. Me 2 But, it has gotten to the point something had to be done! There has not been a significant interest in Lady Tiger Basketball since T. Phillips and Inman were the coachs. It has began to pickup a little when Erica Haynes and Gia Adams, was playing. Both are gone and attendance, maybe 100 - 150 in attendance, including students and visitors. Kentucky fired head coach Kyra Elzy; IMO, she may be a good fit for TSU. If I was Dr., I would be searching be contacting a experience head coach that can bring in a JUCO Coach, Chatt. State [31-2] - Hannah Henderson, played at Grambling. Where ever, Coach Evans and his staff members end up. I can only wish them much success. Perhaps, they will land a position at a JUCO, I say sharpen your coaching and recruiting skills and at some point return to a mid-level position We know that coaching at TSU was not an easy job for a lot of reasons. Now I am wondering if Dr., will increase the budget for the Lady Tigers.

TSU has had good success recently in women's basketball with a "non-melanated coach".

I'm open to anyone long as they can recruit, coach, win, and protect the ladies. I will say that I'm partial to having a woman lead the team.

Man, we are the slowest at finding a coach. Get it done already. Kentucky will have their new coach before we even have our first interview.

Maybe. But he needs to step on the gas. We have a coaching staff to hire and players to recruit. There’s no sense in dragging this out when you have two strong viable candidates in Chelsea Hudson and Josh Cooperwood. It’s okay to ask other candidates, but don’t allow them to drag it out when it’s unnecessary.

Cooperwood, Assistant: Georgia Southern, Winthrop, Louisiana-Monroe, M Valley, NC Central. He was a good recruiter at TSU. Josh, may not be interested. But, is willing to listen.

I wasn’t aware, but it looks like they hired a search firm to help identify candidates. What a waste of money. If they didn’t have a list of candidates already in their Rolodex, somebody hasn’t been doing their job. No way a search firm is needed for this hire. It is a slap in the face to certain already qualified coaches.

I agree with Madness. Isn't it the AD's job to anticipate coaches leaving and to have a list of replacements on his contact list. Alsa, did Ty leave without any prior notice or warning to the AD? If money is an issue, does it make sense to hire a search firm to find a basketball coach? Also, we will not need to hire a search firm to find a men's basketball coach. I heard Coach Byron Scott, formerly of the Los Angeles Lakers, is available and may be interested in the position. May be a good idea to talk to the man, "Just sayin"
