The above comment was directed to Kitty in response to her post and the obvious distress she felt as a result of comments made about her son. By the way, I enjoyed watching Jaylen play this year and I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. Thank you, I appreciate your apology! Not sure why Kitty keeps popping up and I don’t see it anywhere in my profile to delete it lol my name is Joan. Glad you understand where I was coming from. Thank you for your support and kind words.

Maybe just maybe tsu120, may decide to come back and apoligize to both you and your son J. Jones for his unfounded accusations and hurtful comments. #INTEGRITY Here I am Ms. Jones, please accept my apology. I realize after reading my comments. I was out of line. Again, please accept mu apology. Like, most of us. We wish Jaylen had remained with TSU. We pray that he make the best decision as he move the next step in life. First, it’s Joan Mitchell not Ms Jones I’m clearing that up real fast lol. We all just have to be mindful of what we share on the internet about someone because it can easily be spread around especially when it’s not factual. These young men deal with enough on a daily so they need our love, support and mentorship. Are they perfect, NO but they damn sure are not as bad as some of what we witness out here in these Nashville Streets so we need to bring as much positivity in their lives as we can since they are doing their best! I didn’t see not one post on the basketball chat congratulating the players that were honored this past week for making the Deans List or higher during the Fall Semester (Jaylen included). I can go on and on when I’m passionate about something so I’m going to stop here lol. This is what accountability looks like! I thank you for your apology and appreciate you!

If what we hear is true, of all the players who had playing time this season, only J. Williams and Knute Wood have NOT entered the portal. This is absolutely horrible.

I wonder how much of this is due to lack of fan support and a home atmosphere..

I think it has more to do with not winning and NIL opportunities elsewhere. True, attendance has decreased since COVID. And I think I heard coach mention that we missed a postseason tournament last year because of money. But although we’re finishing the year with winning seasons, we haven’t established a winning culture.

And I think I heard coach mention that we missed a postseason tournament last year because of money. But although we’re finishing the year with winning seasons, we haven’t established a winning culture. I am just going to say; Combine what has been said is true. I can also add, some may remember some comments Collins made in the past after a loss. He would often make comments about. How great the opponents coaching is and "they have great players, we are trying to get there" I know that didn't go over to well with several players. Considering, TSU had Fritz; Marshall; Bart, Brown; Abner; Monty Johal; Joyner; Dowuona, Amory Womack, Learic Davis, one of the best players from Milwaukee, transferred, to UW Milwaukee, four years of eligibility remaining. just to name a few. Now, when a player hear comments like that. That's like telling a young man. I love and respect those players better than you. I am going back: on attendance, a majority of the attendance when Collins arrived on campus - were students. Very few from the community. It never hurt's for a coach to say. Hey guy's. I place the "L" squarely on my shoulders. I have to do a better job coaching. My point is: there has been too many good players at TSU for Collins not to have been able establish a winning program and not a middle of the road program at TSU. I can say: When Marcus, arrived attendance began to pickup and when Jaylen arrived last season, attendance picked up, there were more High School Ball Player and their coaches attending the games - as two players said "we came to see Jaylen play" If my memory is correct one was from a school in Springfield. TSU offered Jayden Jones, Goodpasture, Mr. Basketball finalists "Not going to happen" and I think an offer was made to Kavien Jones, BGA, [maybe, possibility - playing the odds are he will not be coming to TSU- I could be wrong].

Oh, I was like who is Kitty lol. Thank you so much 🙏🏽 If you don't mind sharing, what was the major factor that went into your son's decision to transfer. If you think that's to personal, I'll understand. Also, from your perspective what could the alumni do to encourage him or future stars, to stick around?

If you think that's to personal, I'll understand. Also, from your perspective what could the alumni do to encourage him or future stars, to stick around? I had to go in deep prayer about this and gather my thoughts. I will take y’all back to August 2023, when Jaylen’s belongings on down to his socks were stolen from his dorm. Then, his car has been towed twice for supposedly being parked in the wrong spot but we have been taking pictures daily of other cars in the same spot but not towed, fast forward to today and his car has now been broken into although it was parked by the guard shack which is insane. These things are just a fraction of the reasons why we have chosen to leave but I’m going to leave it here! Signed, A Very Pissed and Frustrated Mother

The same question has been asked at a few of the softball games I have attended. Gamble, was on my list as a possible transfer, with a question mark. Because he was a freshman. I think, Gamble maybe have played in two or three game. A total of maybe ten minuets or less. The program is in disarray. * I could not park in a Handicap Space, thou I have a handicap sticker. I was the parking area was designated for TSU personnel with a handicap sticker.

I am not shocked at all. Coach P seems to turn over the roster each season but not much changes in the W/L columns.
