This is true 120. Gotta give Penny credit. Which is why it is truly difficult to fire him. With this NIL stuff, he’s done well in recruiting.

Jones was of the opinion "It's all about me" we call it having the bighead. Meaning that he is not a 100% team player at times - not taking anything away from his talent. Not sure where he will be headed or how he will be treated. He better be ready to hit the books and may regret that he transferred. Since Collins, arrival on campus - history has proven. He didn't have "something" to retain good players. Ford, left him with them - all he had to do is maintain the ship.

I usually don’t entertain posts like this but someone sent it to me and told me to come register to this chat. I’m Jaylen’s mom no need for me to not identify myself. Jaylen graduated from East with Honors that's first and foremost. He qualified to go to every single school that was recruiting him! Coach P and his staff have done a good job with helping Jaylen to mature so much which I am very appreciative for. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but talking down or dragging someone's name especially my son is not cool. I wish you all would identify yourself as I have because instead of being an adult bashing the young generation why not offer something positive to them since you feel he is so much of a problem!? As a 18 year old Freshman who just last month turned 19, I would think that there is still a lot of growing and learning as he matures which is that not what we all had to do at that age!? We can call former coaches and teachers if you want, call me 6155061257 and I GUARANTEE you that it will be the complete opposite of all the negative talk. Jaylen was MaxPreps Player of the Year, State MVP, Mr. Basketball on the East Nashville Team averaging 23 pts, 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals so not only was he an impact player but also a team player. All accolades that he was selected for were chosen by people outside of East so clearly his coach couldn’t have been the sole reason for what he is known for and has accomplished. Clearly, he played and earned what he received! People who ACTUALLY know Jaylen knows his character and would never try to create a narrative of him that is not true! Sometimes, these posts can be very close to being disrespectful because from what I seen on a previous post that I just read even Marcus's dad had to hop on in defense of his son. I'm not here to be disrespectful in no type of way but please keep it respectful especially if we talking behind a profile name only.

Elijah Jointe is transfer from TSU so look like we losing another player He was on my list. No, I don't have a crystal ball. But, for some reason Collins, can recruit. But, can't keep the players. At this point, it's not the facilities or Conference - something else is going on. Think about it, Freeman; Fritz. and Jaylen and the others forgot all of their names. Plus to good coaches. Not a good track record. I guess, the water boy will be next.

I think the player have lost confidence in Collin to get the team to a championship level it hurt to lose a young player like Jones. Penny team never hold up to preseason rankings it come down to coaching

I can't speak for everyone on this board but thank you ma'am for responding and calling this out. I am not sure why, but he has shown a pattern of making accusations on players. coaches, and TSU adminstrators but fails to substantiate his talking points with facts or receipts.

Maybe just maybe tsu120, may decide to come back and apoligize to both you and your son J. Jones for his unfounded accusations and hurtful comments. #INTEGRITY

I really appreciate you! I would’ve never known about this forum if I didn’t get the message about my son being bashed by someone who is suppose to be a TSU fan which is wild but glad that I’m here! When we look at all these other schools playing, they have a REAL fanbase that pack out arenas to support their athletes game in/game out but we are lucky to have 500 ppl to attend ours (BUT QUICK TO TALK SHIT on the internet about us). Players want to feel the love and support from not only their coaches but also the fans! There needs to be more solutions and support being offered to turn things around and less of the bs! This chat was started about transfers which is SEVERAL but my son was the ONE that was picked to be attacked! As a mom of a player of this school, it’s absolutely terrible to get on a school platform and see this! I’m assuming we are all ppl of color and I would like to say as BLACK PEOPLE we must do better especially here in Nashville!

On behalf of the TSU community, I will take it upon myself to apologize to you for the false and disparaging public comments made about your son by people who associate themselves with TSU. As you point out in your post, Jaylen is eighteen (18) years old and we should expect him to live, learn, grow and make mistakes in his journey as we all do at that age. Unfortunately, some people get a weird or sadistic satisfaction out of criticizing other people, especially if the person who is the object of the criticism has a bright future but may have made decisions about their life that the critic does not agree with. As a TSU professor told me long ago, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, criticize"

The above comment was directed to Kitty in response to her post and the obvious distress she felt as a result of comments made about her son. By the way, I enjoyed watching Jaylen play this year and I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Again, please accept mu apology. Like, most of us. We wish Jaylen had remained with TSU. We pray that he make the best decision as he move the next step in life.
