WASHINGTON – Today, Howard University announced its 2024 Homecoming football game, an October 19 contest against the Tennessee State University Tigers at Greene Stadium.
The game will be part of the University’s highly anticipated Homecoming Week, which kicks off Sunday, October 13, and will be the first of a home-and-home series against Tennessee State, which is coached by former NFL star running back Eddie George.

I had actually planned to visit HU when Morehouse plays them in September. I think I may wait and visit for HU's homecoming and represent as Morehouse's Big Blue Tiger

If HU is smart they will bring in additional seats. Hell the AOB will take up a large portion of the end zone seating.. They have a configuration in which they add seats in the both end zones and one sideline. They should strongly consider doing that for the TSU game.

We done it here at Morehouse altho its been a very VERY long time ago and it was when Howard come to our stadium .

Bottom-line TSU Fans planning to attend the game... monitor when HU homecoming 2024 ticket go on sale. You will need to get your ticket as soon as possible. I suggest you follow their athletic website because they do not always sell their tickets via major ticket broker sites like Ticketmaster. I assume they will have a season ticket sell campaign, but it may be possible to buy single game tickets around the same time because they do not have a lot of season ticket holders.

TSU Fans planning/hoping to attend the TSU/Howard football game in October, be on the lookout for an announcement on April 13th regarding Howard 2024 football ticket sales. The HU Ticket office provided me with that date. Howard Athletics Website.

Does anyone know of any hotels? I know that the TSU host hotel and seemingly all others in proximity are booked for that weekend...

Does anyone know of any hotels? I know that the TSU host hotel and seemingly all others in proximity are booked for that weekend... So, I can't remember the two hotels TSU alum have booked but I hear the block of rooms has been sold out. But keep in mind that doesn't mean the entire hotel is booked solid for TSU people. It just means the block of rooms set aside for TSU are sold out. I did a quick check on Hotels.com and there are plenty of hotel rooms in downtown DC. Keep in mind, while HU's homecoming is big, the DC metro area has over 110,000 hotel rooms. HU's homecoming ain't never put a stress on room availability in my 20 plus years of living in the area. Some areas like Metro Center which is part of downtown might see higher reservations than other parts of DC and the DC metro area. If you don't really care to be in the heart of the city, my suggestion would be Crystal City/Pentagon City area of northern Virginia. It's very close to National Airport and literally across the Potomac River from DC. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping in that area as well. Also consider downtown Silver Spring, MD which is only about 5 miles from the HU campus. Another tip to consider... You're best bet for getting to HU's campus is via taxi or Uber. Parking around HU's campus is terrible on a normal day so it will be worse on HU's homecoming day. HU doesn't have a lot of parking lots and they will use some of those parking lots for HC events. While you can take the Metro (subway) to the area, the closest stations are about an 18-20 minute walk to the Greene Stadium.

Thank you both. The Holiday Inn Express in Silver Spring has some pretty affordable rates, so that may be the best bet. And, it is close, as you mentioned.
I took the Metro in DC one time. It was fun, mainly because we were with someone who knew what they were doing. I'd be lost as hell though trying to figure it out myself LOL so yeah, I'll probably take a cab.
