Alabama State and FAMU are now dead even on their head-to-head series. The teams have been playing since 1909. That’s 114 years of historyThe thrilling game at Bragg Stadium on Saturday was the epitome of not only HBCU football but college football at its best. Many Alabama State fans made the short trip to Tallahassee in force. Last year, a large FAMU contingent traveled to Montgomery for another thrilling game that came down to the wire. The distance between Montgomery, AL, and Tallahassee, FL is just 211 miles. That underscores FAMU’s move to the SWAC to save on travel costs. Previously the closest school to FAMU was Daytona Beach, FL (Bethune-Cookman) at 256 miles. Though B-CU will always be FAMU’s arch-rival, the FAMU vs ASU game is gaining momentum to be the next biggest thing.hbcugameday.com/2023/09/25/famu-alabama-state-rivalry-reaches-new-heights-in-the-swac/

The I65 corridor should be a thing. TSU, AA&M, ASU, FA&M
forget the Sergeant York Trophy. Create an I65 trophy!!!
Wait!! TSU not playing its rivals anymore...
DANG!!!

Love this!!
Attendance: 18,858. Just think, TSU/FAMU almost always drew more than this in the 80s and 90s.
I would take this over Nissan Stadium ANY day.

FAMU V Ala State is a home-n-home/Bragg Stadium v Hornets Stadium.
Yeah, that 18,858 is GREAT at home! If this one was in the ATL, easily 50K+
But I love that its on each other's campuses - now thats a great game day experience.

I have attended a TSU FAMU home game at both locations... Nothing can compare to on campus activities when a rival comes to town. Then along comes the ATL classic. And the rest is history!!

I'll take home and home or Atlanta. Prefer home and home unless the check is good for ATL and we can get ESPN/ABC or another network to lock in. Either way, I think it makes sense to get FAMU and JSU back on the schedule. Alabama A&M should also be on the schedule every year.

Nothing can beat gameday experience on campus I'M just partial to the old Atlanta Classic since I'm here.
