Channel 5 News TSU talk plans for new MLB stadium, hockey arena and more at Board of Trustees meeting NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — TSU is looking to make some big upgrades to campus in the coming years. It was discussed at a board of trustees meeting Thursday. The plan includes the possibility for a new hockey arena, a new soccer complex, beach volleyball, a new rowing facility, the potential for TSU's land to be used for a MLB baseball stadium and more. www.newschannel5.com/news/tsu-talk-plans-for-new-mlb-stadium-hockey-arena-and-more-at-board-of-trustees-meetingMy question is where - the university is land locked, unless they are planning on purchasing additional land. I guess the AOB practice field can share - Soccer Field

They didn’t mention Ed Temple’s track in all of these plans. TSU is it should be known for its Track and Field history more than anything else, as far as I’m concerned. The Tiger Belles were winners on the world stage, not just among HBCU’s and NAIA basketball. The track, should be the first reconstruction.

TSU should be ashamed, there is no excuse for the track being in the condition its in. All this new stuff, still in need of a decent softball facility. The football practice field need upgrading. There is a new fence around the practice field. I am wondering who is in charge!

I think the June 2023 budget had money to fix the track. I will look back at the board meeting notes.
I also find this intriguing.

At last year's Roar City event in Memphis, Dr. Allen said the track was the first priority; not sure if that has changed.

I was told at one of the football practices. A hockey arena, will be built where the AOB practice. Possibility the baseball facility will be constructed "maybe" on the farm along the Cumberland River and maybe a Parking Garage.
IMO priority list.
Athletic Fieldhouse Parking Garage Ed Temple Track - not listed Softball - not listed Hockey Baseball
I don't think Hale is in the conversation, because of NISSAN
