Yes, this will be a challenge - surly hope someone will step-up and become a true leader based on the needs of the university. And not their own personal agenda. IMO, there are some well qualified individuals that are willing to become the President - just have to select the right one. Not sure the year, there was a list of candidates published, two I remember one was TSU Graduate, he held a position within the University of Missouri, he withdrew his name - because he stated TSU - SBR takes to long to make a decision. There were two females, one was in a position "I think" the Univ. of Michigan and the other from a College / University in New York. I think, Dr. Johnson, became the president. The candidate that withdrew when Johnson ended up as president did so because he claimed the salary was too low. He was the number one candidate and he pissed off a lot of people when he withdrew for the reason he did because the salary range was stated in the job posting. One other top candidate pulled out because the process was taking too long. The female candidate you referenced was in a leadership position at New York University Polytechnic Institute. If I recall correctly, she applied at the same time Dr. Glover applied. She didn't make the final four. The next president at TSU needs to be vigorous, innovative and has a proven track record of raising money and building corporate and public alliances. They not only need to have the ability to present a vision, but the more importantly have the ability to implement it. No 5, 10 or 20 year plans that get modified every year without any progress. We need a BOTs that can do the same.

I would throw a bag at the NCA&T President at who has significantly grown their campus and enrollment. Yes, he came in with a vision. A&T has a diverse Board of Trustees.

I also recall that the hiring committee selected and announced a preferred candidate also. Many candidates withdrew their name after that also.
