At this point we need bodies. I understand preferring a recruit with more eligibility (I prefer it too). However, in this era of transfer portal, there's no promise they'd stay at TSU even if they did have multiple years of eligibility.
Coach Penny and staff has to pretty much replenish a full roster. Which is crazy to think about.

Not sure if this was already posted...but looks like on April 22nd, ZZ Clark de-committed from TSU and committed to UCSB (Santa Barbara). If I'm not mistaken, isn't that the same school where Carlos Marshall Jr. transferred to? 247sports.com/Player/zz-clark-46102774/

Was a RS-Soph, so could be a multi-year guy.

Rhode Island, had a decent team. Watch them on ESPN+
Played at Seaton Hall, always have a good players. I attend the first NCAA Tournament Game. TSU vs Seaton Hall, 1993 - Orlando, FL. SH, had a pg, Terry De Here and Luther Wright. The strange part of this game, Luther and Carlos, was about the same height. Luther, was suppose to be the "beast of the East" I think, Carlos scored almost 20 points and big Luther maybe 7 or 8 points. a Coach PJ Caresimo and Frankie Allen.

ON PAPER, this is starting to not look like such a bad group. We'll see I guess.

Brandon Weston is a really good pickup. If Penny can get him to reach his potential, Brandon can single-handily impact the program for the better.
However, I'll reserve judgement about the team as a whole. I'm not falling for the banana-in-the-tailpipe.

I guess this is the new norm. Free agency and no more exploiting athletes with free labor that funds other non-revenue sports. It is what it is. Rebuild each year until the athletes decides if they want to stay for reasons other than opportunity to play sports and make a wage.
Recruiting has never been an issue. What will he do with the talent he brings in?

We will know in six months of less.
What's happening with Viktor Mikicm, 6'10, 235 Hamilton Heights. IMO, coming from Serbia, he will be a impact player as a Freshman.
