AOB Marching 350, I would imagine they could march 400 this year - but may be to big

Great for recruiting! AOB Marching 350, I would imagine they could march 400 this year - but may be to big Yeah, 400 is extremely difficult to manage, especially to be clean. I used to hate how sloppy FAMU would look on the field when they would be large. I like the AoB to be around 280, heavy on the brass instruments.

Feel ya on the numbers thing. It’s really about how many players you have vs. horn holders. I think 2014 was the last BIG edition when we hit 290, but they had a lot of horn holders. Those really good editions from the 80s and early 2000s were barely 160 and sounded like 200. On the other hand the few times those snakes from Tallahassee were 300+ and focused was some major stuff for anyone to deal with.

I'd rather be the little band with the big sound than the big band with the little sound, and your example of 2014 was spot on; especially vs Edward Waters.
