What is the status of the 2023 SWAC Classic in Birmingham that is scheduled for the same date as the Southern Heritage Classic?

What is the status of the 2023 SWAC Classic in Birmingham that is scheduled for the same date as the Southern Heritage Classic? That was one of my things, to bring home contests,” Banks said. “You want to play five, some years we’re going to get six. I want to be consistent at five and six games. The fans deserve it. As long as they are showing up, it allows us to play those games where we don’t have to take guarantees. “We went to Jackson State, and our coaches and team deserve for teams to come to our stadium, too." Banks said the school is not ruling out returning to the State Fair Classic or other guarantee games. Southern and Jackson State officials tried to set up a nonconference classic game in Birmingham, Alabama, but could not get the details worked out."  |

hopefully, next year it will popoff.
