I think short term we may see 4 conferences (formerly the Power 5)...but eventually the SEC and Big Ten will snag a couple of more big brands (i.e. Notre Dame) and do one of the following:
1. Force the NCAA to create a super division (i.e. Division 0) with little to no oversight.
2. Leave the NCAA and create their own playoff system

I think option 2 is the most likely goal. If they pull it off, I'm curious as to how that's going to effect that talent prospect for schools left out of this alliance.

Agreed, most will want to play where the biggest draw is. However, I think it will affect the Power 5 schools that are left out of the new system, the most. |
