They got hosed, but I could care less. I sometimes root for them, but I also revel in their demise…sometimes too much.
I used to a big UTK fan growing up. I could tell you everyone on their basketball roster at one point. I was happy for them when they won their football championship in 1998.
However, I lived in Knoxville from 96-98 and I quickly began to dislike the people, city, and eventually the team. I used to tell coworkers I was a TSU fan, and they couldn’t understand why UT wasn’t my first choice. Their hate for everything other than UT became widely conspicuous and eventually intolerable.

Wait, let me take that back….I was happy for Tee Martin who won a championship Peyton couldn’t. Happiness for UTK was secondary.
UTK now represents the system that has kept TSU from reaching its full potential.

Madness I'm with you on that one. I moved to Indiana after college and refused to support Peyton. Even the black up here acted like they couldn't understand that.

Any team that plays against UTK, I pull for the opponents. I still cannot understand, why the QB, want to play for UT, his father was a QB at NCA&T.
They love him, but will eventually blame him because of the game.
