OH well... SCSU record is no indication of how good they are. They beat JSU and it was not even close..

Actually it was an indication for folks who actually follow hbcu sports, and not just tune in because of a certain matchup or bands. But as the saying goes "you are what your record says you are". One game doesn't change that, it just mean you were the better team that day.

They got it right in my eyes. I prefer head to head, however a 2 loss vs a 5 loss team doesn't add up. Especially, when you had JSU beat FAMU who beat SCSU who beat JSU. At that point, it's preference. So to me you pick whoever you deem the top team. As impressed as I was with SCSU Saturday, crowning the season's best team still falls to JSU for me. If FAMU went further in the playoffs, maybe they would've passed JSU. I say SCSU is the celebration bowl champs, but JSU is the national champ.
Removing FBS losses:
JSU is 11-1 ==> lost to SCSU
FAMU is 9-2 ==> lost to JSU & SELA
SCSU is 7-3 ==> lost to FAMU, AAMU, & NC A&T

I thought that the winner of the Celebration Bowl would be crowned Black College Champions. Is that not correct?
