Not sure if this topic belong here.
Watching the re-run of WSSU – Catawba, football game. The announcer said the head coach of WSSU is Robert Massey. I said Massey is a for NFL player and was pretty good. So, I decided to do a quick search to see how many former NFL / NBA are head coaches at HBCU’s.
Now, I am thinking HBCU’s have a lot of “Pro” experience, but it only appear two programs are making any headway – JSU and TSU

This is just a few,
Eddie George – Ohio State (Titans) – TN State
Deion Sanders - Florida State (Falcons, 49ers, etc) – Jackson State
Tyrone Wheatley - Michigan (Bills) – Morgan State
Robert Massey- North Carolina Central (Saints, Cardinals, Giants)-Winston-Salem State
Andre Turner - Memphis State (Lakers, Spain) Lane College Basketball
Kenny Anderson – Georgia Tech (Nets, Celtics, Portland, Toronto) Fisk Basketball
Lindsey Hunter – Jackson State (Pistons, Bucks, Warriors, Suns, Lakers)
George Ragsdale – NC A&T (Redskins) – Central State
Bonzie Wells – Ball State (Portland, Memphis, Sacramento, Houston, China and Puerto Rico)
Solomon Bozeman – Oral Roberts (D League and in a number of leagues overseas) UAPB basketball
Vyron Brown – Grambling (Bill Walsh Fellowship Program Internship with the Kansas City Chiefs) Lane College.
I have to add, Lane is normally the doormat, for their division. Brown, appear to have the program around with wins against: Fort Valley; Edward Waters; Texas College; Tuskegee and Central State)
I am sure there are more than listed
