AS THE FCS WORLD TURNS....
Sources indicate that at least one HBCU has had discussions with the CAA. Howard has reportedly had discussions with the league, multiple sources tell HBCU Gameday.
Potential members for the new-look CAA could include Monmouth, currently an associate member of the Big South, as well as UNC Greensboro of the SoCon.
Both schools have ties to North Carolina A&T, one of three HBCUs at the Division I level not in the MEAC or SWAC. Monmouth is set to take on A&T in football this weekend for the first-ever matchup between the two schools that play Big South football. A&T and UNC Greensboro are similar-sized institutions located in the same state and consider themselves basketball rivals.

There goes another shot at the MEAC. A&T was mentioned, but I doubt they do any moving soon unless big south starts getting poached. And I really don't think Howard will go through with it unless another hbcu in play. So who else do you think is in play?

I sure hope this comes to fruition. Why??? So that the OVC can consider adding some MEAC schools or so TSU can consider the SoCon or maybe the Big South? What is your reasoning..

Would love to be a part of the addition of CUSA. If they are seriously considering HBCU’s, and if TSU is ready financially, I think TSU would have a fighter’s chance.

This is for the CAA (Colonial Athletic Conference) with teams like: James Madison (although they're likely gone) Villanova William & Mary Delaware etc.

My bad. I had to do a lot of catch-up reading. Didn’t realize it was regarding the CAA.
