Mike Jones friends made this about him for some reason. Parker has been there the whole time as well. He should get credit for the playoff win too right? Some of you all are just petty individuals who want their freind to have a job back. Now Parker should have ran the same offense that Butler ran. He switched too Oshay's playbook and these qb can't run the offense. That is a fair question. Bringing up the ineffective M. jones is just showing your bias. There is no way you can use M.Jones in a way to discredit Parker. Stop being ridilicous. We can go back to the old board and see all the complaints. If it doesn't get better and you let Parker go because he is obviously ineffective, fine but let's not go backwards. Ro! Dude, I've never met Coach Jones and wouldn't be able to point him out walking down the street. My comment is based on my observation.
Dude watch yourself! Speak what you know or shut the duck up!

guys here is the answer to all those inputs, I've read this board for 5 years and just recently decided to join the discussion this year, I've heard many topics over the years and many disagreements, in business and in life you have to have visions and be an innovators, if you do research majority of your successful coaches have been around meaning different programs, they take a little from every program and put into there mind set, you cannot just stay within the HBCU programs to be successful, that only happens about 40%. also be mindful if your head coach hasn't been around then he is limited in picking good assistant coaches to run the program, because he does not know what to look for in that coach, that head coach cannot be afraid of hiring people that's smarter than him, that's the way it has to be ran, you cannot be afraid of your job, do you think Nick Sabon is scared to hire innovators(NO) thtas why all his coaches get head coaching jobs and guest what he just keeps plugging in getting new ones, well someone will say "we cant afford" those type of coaches heres the thing their are some young and energetic mind coaches that want a chance (will healey) Austin peay that just wants a chance with a new shematic of schemes, you have to keep the opponent off balance and guessing on what your doing I don't see that in the coaches at TSU they are only so good and when things come up that they haven't experience or seen they are lost. we will continue to have 6-5 7-4 maybe 8-3 if the rest of the OVC is down. the main problem they cannot win the OVC schools.

Okay, I'm going to assume tensions are running high because of the frustration with the outcome of the APSU game and other disappointing loses. But, lets please maintain respect and decorum on the site. Your comments, opinions, and insights are all welcomed and valued. But, lets not belittle one another, attack one another and disrespect one another. We can agree and disagree without insults, name calling and other negative means of communication.
I've not had to temporarily ban or permanently ban anyone from the site in quite some time. I don't like doing either. But I have always maintained that this site will not be one in which members and visitors are personally attacked and demeaned. Doing so may cause you to be banned.
Everyone here is entitled to freely express their opinion. If you disagree with an opinion that's fine. But disagree in a proper, mature and fair manner. Please refrain from unsubstantiated claims, accusations, name calling and inappropriate language. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE.

I don’t think, anyone disrespect Mike or Parker.
As DC, stated everyone is frustrated about not necessarily losing to AP. It’s how we are losing and the problems that continue from year after year.
I honestly, don’t think a particular OVC teams have more talent than another. The truth is how the players are coached.
A team can have a lot of talent, but if they are not fundamentally sound they are going to lose games.
What we have been witnessing, in the OVC most of them are fundamentally sound.

I think 7-4 is a target for this year's team. 6-5 is unacceptable. I really believe beating Jacksonville State will be tough. TSU has as much talent as anyone in the league. I agree our players need fundamental coaching with tackling and other areas. This is not rocket science, TSU has been out coached in the games we've lost. If you know the kicker can't kick a 46 yarder then why try to kick a field goal. Why is the all American kicker hurt?? The Offensive line, against OVC competition has only blocked well in one game (EKU). If we loose the Tech and SEMO games we're in trouble this season.

bvtiger, if we lose the TTU and SEMO games the season is over. Period. Play JxSU to finish the season possibly with an upset, then pack it up, shut the door and review, review and review everything from running onto the field to the prayers afterwards. At some point you have to do a real gut check on where you are, where you thought you'd be and why you haven't gotten there.

Looks like Clark will be back as well this week.
They need to finish strong.
I think the OVC is a one bid league.
APSU will lose to FBS UCF and will have 4 loses.
EIU has 3 L already too.
APSU vs EIU will be for second place in the OVC.
Jax St vs TSU will be just survival for us while Icing for Jax St.

EIU new QB looks pretty good. We really missed an opportunity to be them while they were down.
They have played 3 QBs this year.

If the offense just gets their act together we should finish out pretty strong.
Defense has been consistent all year long for the most part.
L. Clark is our special teams ace and I hope one of the young kids can fill his shoes. Coverage of kickoffs and punts needs some help. Punting has had more ups than downs this year.

....I say 5-6 And the Offensive Coordinator will be replaced with someone else who's just as bad...Just like last time! All hope is lost, We have a pitiful coaching staff at TSU.
