....I say 5-6 And the Offensive Coordinator will be replaced with someone else who's just as bad...Just like last time! I was wondering if Coach Reed would relieve Coach Parker of OC duties and bring someone else in. Maybe allow Coach Parker to go back to QB Coord... I wonder if Brian Jenkins would be good fit. He knows FL and obviously can recruit well there. He has had a stint in the OVC and has had success calling plays at BCU.

Either way TSU has got to get it right this time, we've got to find someone who's not afraid to roll the dice, someone who's not afraid to throw it down field when it's 3rd and 2...We definitely don't need a guy who has All World Receivers at his disposal that chooses to run it on 2nd or 3rd and 15...That's NOT Football!! That's Scared Ball!!...And Oh, Coach Parker needs to be removed Completely from the TSU Offense. IMO!

At this point I'm hoping that we won't be TTU's first conference win. I'm not even sure about VUL anymore.... SEMO is doing well in conference play and we've had issues with then off and on for years now. JxSU could be a nightmare if we play the way we did against UTM, EIU and now APSU.
I've never predicted a loss for TSU. Not even against FBS programs. But, this year is making that difficult. And, it's really the coaching that has me questioning if they are prepared and experienced enough to prepare this team to win consistently.
Heart says 8-3
Pragmatist says 7-4
Gut says 6-5
Haven't decided which one I'm going to follow....

Reed won't get fired and for some reason they're afraid to fire Parker. This is a pitiful showing for the fans loosing both JM and Homecoming. Fire the whole Offensive coaching staff.

Mike Jones wasn't laughing last year, when Butler was cutting up. How short the Tiger memory is....

I think M. Jones could have been productive with the receivers and Butler in his offense as well.
IMO, I could care less who is calling plays just get the job done and as a team lets get the W...

Let's be honest, M. Jones wasn't effecting when he was here. We are not effective now so I don't understand the argument. BTW, didn't we make it to the playoffs with him calling plays? Again I don't care who is calling the plays as long as they are getting the job done. I called M. Jones out on his play calling as well. Carry On...

We were winning when Mike Jones was here. His play calling catered to the run, using the clock, and was boring, but you have to admit, it was effective.
My biggest problem with TSU football or for any TSU sport for that matter, is that we are never consistent when it comes to winning. And when we lose, we lose big! Why can't we go 5 years of winning seasons and then have a losing season sprinkled in? I love Coach Reed a lot, and I think he's the best coach we've had in a long time, but even he is not a consistent winner. He's had 3 winning seasons, 3 losing season, and one .500 season.... he cannot be considered a winner at this point. And he may very well be a loser this season.
I really want to know why Parker has made so many bone-headed play calls, that even I as an arm-chair quarterback wouldn't make. Mike Jones wouldn't have made those calls even as a run-first OC. I also want to know, what really went wrong with this offense. What did they see in Harris that made them say to OAC, "the starting qb position is wide open; you have to compete for it". What did they see in Hughes coming out of high school that a friend of mine, with first hand knowledge of Harris' ability, told me that "Harris will never see the field for TSU unless we're in a dire situation and you better hope that never happens."
I think we'll go 6-5 this year. If we don't, you gotta look at making changes. A losing season this year will be the biggest disappointment in football that I can remember. And keep it mind, it's ruining the opportunity of players getting drafted.

Mike Jones friends made this about him for some reason.
Parker has been there the whole time as well.
He should get credit for the playoff win too right?
Some of you all are just petty individuals who want their freind to have a job back.
Now Parker should have ran the same offense that Butler ran. He switched too Oshay's playbook and these qb can't run the offense.
That is a fair question. Bringing up the ineffective M. jones is just showing your bias.
There is no way you can use M.Jones in a way to discredit Parker.
Stop being ridilicous. We can go back to the old board and see all the complaints.
If it doesn't get better and you let Parker go because he is obviously ineffective, fine but let's not go backwards.

BTW, you made the ineffective argument. Just sayin!

Wanting a hire back a bad offensive coordinator because he is your friend isn't making a point.
