When it comes to football at HBCUs, the setting is just as important as the product on the field. The fans, the bands, the stadiums, and more create a unique environment for teams to play in. Here are some can’t miss game-day atmospheres in HBCU football. 6 can't-miss HBCU football game-day atmospheres A Jackson State home football game — Jackson, MS 60,000 plus. That's the capacity for a Jackson State home football game at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Tigers play in the largest stadium for any HBCU not used for professional sports. Jackson State led the FCS in average attendance in 2018 and 2019. www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2021-08-20/6-cant-miss-hbcu-football-game-day-atmospheres

Seriously.... No Magic City Classic, No Southern Heritage Classic,,, but Howards homecoming is listed??? Yeah, big miss on Magic City Classic. Southern Heritage too. I like the list, but you have to add those two in there. I'd also add Alcorn/Jackson and the Boombox.

Just critiquing the article. Especially, if the NCAA is telling people these are the can't miss HBCU games. They got some good ones on there, but they missed a big one. To your point bulldog, i'm not surprised looking at the source.

For instance Jackson State stadium hasn't been 60k capacity for several years since they revamped it.

Seriously.... No Magic City Classic, No Southern Heritage Classic,,, but Howards homecoming is listed??? I know right. Howard's homecoming is like Morehouse's homecoming. Its a huge event; definitely one of the biggest parties you've ever attended; they got EVERYTHANG....but as far as the game goes....well, some come inside the stadium but its no longer standing room only. When I was in school, the party was INSIDE the stadium. Now the party is OUTSIDE of the stadium.
At least Tuskegee, you gotta have a game day ticket to tailgate because its ALL ENCLOSED.
And NO Magic City Classic? That right there tells me whoever came up with this list knows NOTHING about hbcu football.

Smart move... That way they may be able to get a little extra cash... Was the game with Miles well attended.. When it comes to these games D1 or D2 does not matter

Miles has a large travelling fan base to be such a small D2 school [under 2000 students]. Miles crowd shows up just like the Tuskegee crowd. Ala State can't lose having them both as home opponents.
