While the MEAC/SWAC Challenge is back this year after a pandemic-related hiatus, future matchups are also on the horizon.

Executive Director Cricket Celebration Bowl and Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kickoff John T. Grant announced on Thursday future matchups of the annual HBCU football season opener.

2022 - Howard vs Alabama State

2023 - SC State vs Jackson State

2024 - Norfolk State vs FAMU
