I think this is a ridiculous alignment, but it’s a good thing if the Big12 raids the AAC for 4 or 5 schools. This will make the other conferences scramble which can open doors for TSU if they’re ready. If they aren’t ready, they’ll never be ready.

Yep; but I would think Memphis would be in the conversation if BYU or UCF balk.

They are probably next on list. If not might want to start chatting with UAB and MTSU about getting in a conference together. Close enough to encourage travel and maybe even rivalry worth watching.

How long do you all think it will be before Vanderbilt gets edged out of the SEC and who do you think will pick them up. I'm sure the only reason they are still hang around is because they can significantly contribute in other ways.

But the SEC needs their academic branding, so I think they're safe. Every SEC school can't dominate in football.
