Well, at least he's speaking out about it as he should. But, discipline is still an issue with his teams. Yes, several penalties were very bad calls. But others were right. So, you have to start fixing the issue from the inside as well.

Definitely poor officiating!
The AD, must also speak out.
Plus, Reed must instill in the players mind “the Officials are not going to give you anything” So do not do anything stupid that will cost the team the game.
How much will he be fined?

To be honest I can't think of a time when TSU wasn't over penalized or hit with flat out bogus calls.
Coach Reed in this weeks media call was not a happy camper and rightfully so.
When it comes to OVC play, TSU has to coach and play against the opponent and the refs and its just not isolated to football either.
I think discipline will help but the league should keep a track of those officials who have a history of bogus penalties and keep them from working TSU games.

I've seen some OVC games where the calls haven't been all against us. The problem is I've seen too many where key calls have cost us the game or could've cost us the game. Every time I think the OVC's okay, they do something that makes me shaky. I honestly, am still pretty hot about the missed facemask and targeting in the UTM game. Medley could've been seriously injured on that. You had two dirty hits on the same play by different people that was a big turnover in the game. That one really bothered me. I didn't see the call in the EIU game, but from all accounts I heard it was a bad call.

So, what did you guys think about the officiating during the EKU game?
I found it interesting and somewhat annoying that the EKU commentators consistently brought up the fact that Reed had complained about the officiating in the weekly media call prior to the EKU game. Every time there was a penalty on TSU they mentioned it.
They also stated that it appeared Reed's tactic worked because TSU had so few penalties. Now, to their credit after making such statements on a couple of calls that were overturned, they actually agreed that those calls should have been overturned. There was a roughing the passer and a late hit out of bounds call that were both overturned and the commentators agreed that no flag should have been thrown. But, they still constantly made reference to Reed's statement about the officiating in previous games. At no point did they speak to the possibility that TSU also decided to work on reducing the penalties by addressing the issue with players and through better play. The focused only on Reeds comments during the media call and attributed his comments to the officials being cognizant of over penalizing TSU. That says to me if the officials need to be cognizant of calling too many penalties on TSU, then they were aware that they were over penalizing TSU.

Yeah DC, they were killing me with their comments about Reed's statements on the officiating. Not once did they mention that we are the most penalized team in the OVC. I have to admit though, I was wondering if the refs were being overly cautious about throwing a flag against us.

If “Complaining” is what it takes to get the officials to call a fair game, then COMPLAIN.
I also, find it interesting that whenever, TSU is in the process of defeating an opponent. The commentator, mention that Reed Complain,
However, he is not the only one that complains, Roy Kidd, Brown and Crowe, were complainers...
I think the officials were more conscience about throwing the flags, except for one. I believe he threw two flags and both were waived off.
This is what the officials know
TSU is aggressive, and being penalizes get under their skin. And the penalties, makes TSU more cautious, which shifts the advantage to the opponents.
The person in charge of the OVC Officials should review every game, where the penalties are lopsided.
