Still have the script with a new Tiger. I’ll admit, I’ve come around to liking the new website, but there’s nothing about this Tiger and logo that impresses me. Nothings changed really.

I'm glad they didn't change the logo very much. I think the various Tennessee State word marks are a nice addition.

I like the new look of the logo. The new tiger is modern and also has more of a timeless look. I think people also need to understand that this logo will be a lot easier to use on practically anything. The single color will make it easier to do apparel. When you add multiple colors that drives up the cost of an applique. Whether its a silk screen or sew on applique, the cost is less with a single color. I like that the tiger can be used either with the script or with the words Tennessee State spelled out above it, below it encircle it. It can also be used on the front of sweatshirt or t-shirt and the script or the school name can be placed on the sleeve. I just think there are more options with the new version of the logo. I'm looking forward to getting new apparel with the new version of the logo. Good job Dr. Allen!!!

I like these logos along with the script but I still prefer the Power/Block T on the football helmets...

I like keeping the script logo, although I like the Block T for the helmets as well. I LOVE the athletics logo that spells out TENNESSEE STATE. I will always prefer our apparel and marketing have both a logo and the school name spelled out.
Honestly, I've never been a huge fun of the Tiger being on the logo. And I'm adamantly against any logo having just a Tiger on it. Mainly because there are too many schools with a Tiger as their mascot. For all I know that could be a high school team you're repping.
I like the energy in the Athletics department right now.

I was talking to another alum that lives in Tennessee.
He was talking about how our logo dies out due in TN due to U Of Memphis and MTSU.
Even with the sTu logo, UT owns that power T.
This a good adjustment but we still have a lot of work to do.
To be a but more different, we made need to use that red more.
Not a total fan of it, but that is the only way our stuff will pop.

Good observation 50! Adding to that...for the logo, I think the simpler, the better. Most college/sports brands have a simple logo. Think of Green Bay, Grambling, UGA with the "G". UT with the T. Miami with the U. The logo doesn't have to be a busy logo. However, no matter what we choose we want the brand to resonate with those not familiar with TSU. That's why I really prefer our marketing & apparel to have the Logo & school name. The logo can stand alone and have the school name some where else. This way you know who it belongs too. With the script logo, both our football coaches and alums have stated that random people thought it was LSU. If you take the wing off the t and look at the logo, I can see why. Also, LSU's mascot is a Tiger, so the mascot doesn't help when it comes to the script. Not saying we have to change from the script but I would love for us to spell out the school more often. And this new logo campaign does have a spelled out version I like, so kudos there. To my point, here's an example that provided free publicity for TSU to those who listen to rap or pay attention to pop cutlure. This was back in 2019. Rapper, Cardi B wore a TSU sweatshirt and it embodies what I'm saying. The Logo is there, but so is the school name (spelled out)... Cardi B in TSU sweatshirt

I think with the new leadership in the AD and the new logo, we'll see more of the full name on our apparel. Doing a t-shirt and sweatshirt like these will be really easy with the new logo... (These are only mock-ups not actual t-shirts for sale).

Squeezing that on a jersey is a challenge though.
I didn't see any rules about Tenn State, Tennessee St., or like the hoops jersey Tenn St.
Not sure what the AOB is going to do with their red Tenn State scripted.
I wonder will we go back to using Tigers on jerseys. I am assuming we will since they rebranded it.
I see that they redid Tennessee State. I Wasn't clear on whether or not that has to be Tennessee and state together. Can they be split. Can you just use the State? Not sure.

Unless AOB gets a big cash bonus I doubt anything will change for them over the next 10 to 15 years.
