We haven’t recruited this many black girls in one recruiting year in a long time.

Either softball has upped their recruiting efforts or the movement is hitting home for more softball players.

Either softball has upped their recruiting efforts or the movement is hitting home for more softball players. I would say, lets call it the Reed message. You up your game or hit the road. And I am "OK" with that. Because, it makes no sense TSU continue to be the whipping child.
Forgot, what year, TSU had a decent team, after the coach left it has been down hill same with the volley ball team. Both have decent playing facilities, both programs has to be promoted as well as Tennis and Track.

They still won’t win double digit games.

They still won’t win double digit games. Maybe, not.
It takes time to re-build a team. A team just existed on paper and showed up each and every game ready to play.
Its like taking a 60 Ford found under a tarp in the back yard needing various parts to make it run.

There are some decent Softball players in this area.
Who is old enough to remember when the Churches and Community Centers would sponsor Girls Softball. Hadley Park was full five to six days a week. Now most of the games are played at Cedar Hill.
TSU facilities are "ok" for softball.
