NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State volleyball hosted its annual alumni match Saturday afternoon in Gentry Center. Assistant coach and former middle blocker Vicmari Prospero also joined volleyball alumnae Alexis Johnson (2018), Taylor Patterson (2016), Jamie Cooper (2015) and Danielle Bowen (2012) on the court and had some explosive kills. However, the 2019 squad swept the alumni 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-15).
With the volleyball team staring down its first match of the season next week against North Alabama. The alumni match serves as a way for head coach Donika Sutton to see what needs improvement and what works, while also connecting the future of TSU volleyball with its past.
