I saw this in an email today and was just wondering if I would like it if the tiger were to be used in a new TSU Athletics logo to include the TSU script or the block TSU along with the name of the school spelled out. Hmmmm....

I agree it is bad. More concerned that it is inconsistent.
I am hoping that the Nike unis have a consistent logo and message vs up to the hesd coaches wishes.

Ok... to be clear I don't like the fonts that they used in that homecoming 2019 logo. I also hate the use of the university logo with the cupola. All of that combined makes that specific logo look horrible. I was concentrating more on the actual tiger that is used in that logo. Many of us have stated over the years that it time for an update to the TSU logo. Some have even suggested doing away with the TSU script in favor of the blocked style logo that apparently the football team has adopted on the helmets. A style that was used before the script style. So, I was just wondering if the tiger could be used in a newer style logo for TSU athletics. Just imagine that tiger or one similar hovering over block style TSU letters and Tennessee State University spelled out underneath it. You could also create an alternative one just using the tiger face with the university name circling it. Now, as I was imagining the possibilities with using that tiger, I for some reason starting thinking about if any other school had anything similar and NCA&T came to mind. So, I'm not sure if I'd want to look like we copied their idea....

Anytime you do 3 colors, cost could increase dramatically. Letter usage should be consistent whether it is by a cupola or a football. I am just saying that there are biger issues. I am not sure Why marketing, sports teams, and university can't agree to use the same logo. We shouldn't have to spell out tennessee state university every single time. The scripted and sTu logos and that tiger head all look old timey.
