This is more a conversation for those in Nashville, but what do you all think TSU athletics can do to connect more with TSU businesses?

This is more a conversation for those in Nashville, but what do you all think TSU athletics can do to connect more with TSU businesses? Living here, since 1984.
I have witnessed business disconnect with TSU, especially the few that are located in North Nashville and TSU disconnected with the businesses.
On the other hand, TSU must become part of "Nashville" they have a tendency to focus on the "cry baby" syndrome, oh look at me, poor me. TSU, Fisk and Me Harry, must work together to pull in the Nashville Dollars.
As we have said before, the money is there, Nashville is the headquarters of many Major Corporations, but have failed to develop some type of plan to tap into the resources as AP has been working on with Hancock Tire Company (Japan) and a few other companies that recently located in Montgomery County and as MTSU with NISSAN.
TSU, must have a Public Relations Team, that sole purpose is working with the State and Local Governments, Community Leaders, Corporations and leaders of the Immigrant Communities. I have to say it , but Glover and her current staff are not the one that should represent TSU. It should be a cross section of cultures.
TSU business incubation lab, need to play a more active role!
TSU, must offer scholarships, to those that qualify from the Immigrant Communities, thus increase student enrollment and financial support from the communities.
TSU is sitting on a Gold Mine, and don't realize it.

Careful, some people might say you're trying to gentrify the school. But seriously, that is an avenue that needs to be explored.
I was thinking of reaching out to the local business up and down Jefferson and surrounding. Like barbershop, salons, local restaurants, etc. and try to strike some deals with the owners to incitise them to run promotions encouraging their patrons to attend TSU events. If that's legal/ethical.

If anyone has a plan, I have some partners who are willing to listen. I tried to convince them to start purchasing along Jefferson years ago. Now, many locations are above our price range…without more people involved.

If that's legal/ethical. Most of the businesses on Jefferson are Mom and Pop operations, barley surviving.
Those businesses, along Jefferson are on the Economic Operation Table, on Life Support. Most of them are closed and the customer are only a few older residents and a few students form the universities.
The only business that seem to be doing well is located in Price Plaza and the Fish Place across from the Plaza. Mary BBQ, have very few customers.
If you think about it, there are not a lot of businesses located on Jefferson and several of business that was located in the business building near Fisk are closed or have limited customers.
The problem with Jefferson, their customers are "seasonal" once the colleges close, Jefferson almost look like a scene from the Death Valley Days.
