A new website and fundraising campaign is coming soon. We were never in the SWAC. Outside of that, good presentation.

He also mentioned doing somethings in our arena (i.e. Gentry). He mentioned this while discussing a new website. I wonder what enhancements he's looking at doing in Gentry.

He mentioned that Dr. Glover and Teresa Philips had mentioned the SWAC to him. One thing I got from his comments is that TSU is not opposed to looking at other conference options to include the SWAC. He fumbled a bit during that part of the discussion. But he clearly didn't take the SWAC off the table. Which of course raises the question, which one is it in terms of who's interested in who? We've seen in the topic about the SWAC that they have not invited TSU to join. Yet, our AD makes it appear that there have been some dialogue between TSU and the SWAC prior to his arrival.

I took it as the National President asking the question.
I think it is slightly interesting with hypothetical questions about the Tennessee kid. We still would have to compete with the OVC for recruits.
Most of the TN OVC schools are growing, have more cash, and better facilities at this point. Switching conferences wouldn't change that point.

No official invite vs discussions. The SWAC adding one member in FAMU...I can't see them not reaching out to TSU. Doesn't mean we were the first choice, just due diligence...I can't see them not reaching out to TSU, BCU, SCSU. Reason being, maybe they expand to 12...or maybe they expand to 14. Who knows??? Not many saw FAMU's move coming.

I like the Dr. Allen mentioned they reached out to MeHarry and Vanderbilt in regards to handling Covid-19.
He mentioned he's talked with Grambling and FAMU. Plans to get FAMU back on the schedule moving forward starting in '23 (preliminary discussions on exact year). Sounds like Teresa & Dr. Glover notified him there was some form of discussions or presentation about joining the SWAC. I also hear hesitation with the SWAC due to the amount of OVC schools in TN. He's definitely owed time to perform his due diligence. First things first:
1A: with Covid still raising he has to decide whether to fill out or keep the football schedule. 1B: filling the vacancy for the Women's Basketball job.

I hope this was done in January 2020 C'mon on 120, what university was even remotely thinking about Covid-19 in January? The country wasn't even dealing with it in January. We were following basketball in hopes of being a top team in the OVC tournament. And, not once did you or anyone else on this board mention Covid-19. Schools with medical schools and athletics (i.e. Vanderbilt) wasn't even preparing for it. So, what would have precipitated TSU having a discussion about Covid-19 with Meharry or Vanderbilt, or even internally in January?
