I just want to know what have they done to post the hiring of a new president. Hopefully they've engaged with a national consulting firm with strong experience in conducting a national search for top candidates for university and college presidents.

Had a conversation with my old contact at TSU. She said, there are people lobbing Glover not to step-down.

Had a conversation with my old contact at TSU. She said, there are people lobbing Glover not to step-down. I don't think that lobbying is widespread. When she made the announcement during a faculty session there was very little if any response from those in attendance. Not even an applause of appreciation for her service. Plus she would be hard pressed to pull that back from the universe and justify a reversal in her decision.

This sounds more like what is needed..
TSU updated the capital disclosure project information for the New Engineering Project. The project disclosure previously submitted was for 70,000 SF - $60M. The recently updated project is for 191,000 SF-$184M. TSU continues to work with TBR and the architect (Bauer Askew) to determine the best way forward. At present, TSU seeks your approval to continue designing the $184M New Engineering Building, understanding the design will include segments that can be removed to accommodate reductions in the project budget.

I think it is important to note what was stated regarding the downtown campus...
The masterplan draft includes a review of future development opportunities and partnerships at the Avon Williams campus such as:
Mixed-use Development Partnership • Public Private Partnership (P3) • College of Business Executive Leadership Program • Improved Incubation Center • Graduate / Professional Housing • Expanded Education & Public Services • Classified / Secured Data Business Center.
This somewhat confirms what I've been hearing on a Nashville development site that there are conversations taking place between TSU and private developers to develop the downtown campus.

Masterplans are only worth something if initiatives are taken to implement them. With a new president in TSU's future, I hope that we will see leadership that understands how to implement a masterplan and not just view it as a wish list.

Doc Allen mentioned contacting two HBCU schools in Alabama to be JMC opponents after MVSU next year. I believe I heard the gentleman that spoke after Doc Allen say NSU band will be at homecoming.

Just crazy that we didn't have an established scholarship committee.... just insane. Don't laugh. I was on campus yesterday asking about scholarships and general information about the university. No joke, I was told everything is on line, no paper material in the office. My comment to the young lady at the front desk - how do you respond to individuals that write for information. She looked confused! Now I am thinking they don't respond and that's why students continue to complain / TSU don't respond. Hopefully, this can be corrected! There use to be a scholarship committee.

Students still write??? I get what you are saying but Online is the way of the future...(and the past). It is more efficient. While I stood in line for registration for hours, other schools were already registering online or by phone.. Next step is AI (artificial intelligence).
