The Ladies did have a successful season. Great job Diamonds... NOW coaches, go fill in the gaps. Pitchers, Shortstops and catchers.. Start there... WE Support you!!!
I am serious, it's going t be hard to recruit some of the better players, because of facilities - like her father said when recruiting High School and those in the transfer portal. One of of the factors players look at is facilities, no different than any other sports.
Comment Posted by InformedOutsider, those ae simple improvements - speaking of the netting - doggone last week during one game the netting came lose, left field.
Other simple improvements: under the bleachers, instead of dirt, use rubber shredded Landscaping mulch, cost about $8.00 a bag.
Replace, the plank holding the dirt in along the fence, behind the catcher with concreate -
Upgrade the Bullpens, "with a mound [clay or artificial]" need to be wide enough for two pitchers to feel comfortable or purchase encloses bullpen - Cost about 2K. some are equipped with a radar to check the speed of the ball. Also with artificial turf.
"No Joke" I have not seen a batting racks in the dugouts. Cost maybe $400.00
Not sure if the team have a Pitching Machine - need a minimum of two -
Maybe, some type of video - training equipment, to assist the pitchers.
More than one50 Gallon Trash container "always full"
It's the simple things that gets the recruits attention or make a current player remain with the program.
The improvements made prior to next season, will be an indication of how committed the AD is - now he said in one of the podcast about making improvements in all sports. Thus far, IMO it's all has been talk.
