There are a lot of unhappy people here, and rightly so. A few wanted a "small" portion of the funds to be used to assist the low income, homeless and others living below the poverty line.

Nashville can still do that, if they wanted to. The stadium deal shouldn't be a political issue. Nashville wants a shot at hosting a Super Bowl within 10 years, along with other big sporting events.

True, it shouldn't be a political issue. Sorry to say it is, with the State and Local Government! The City Officials, complain about crime low income and homeless individuals, people being killed at street crossings, because the lack of markings, no side walk, lighting, guns being stolen and used in crimes, giving billions of dollars "tax Breaks" for companies to locate in TN., raise property taxes and the list goes on and on. The same problems that has existed for years and years. However, they (State and Metro) have enough funds to contribute to the building of a billion dollar plus stadium. That's one of the major reasons people are leaving Davidson County ; moving to the surrounding counties. And they say (State) no pay raises for employees " a study is needed, economy goes up 10%, employees might get a 1.2% pay increase", don't have fund to improve the problem with Department of "Children Services" why are children in their care, have to sleep in offices buildings, being returned to abusive homes - Teens Escaping from youth facilities, with the assistance of Employees. The number one problem is: Nashville, continue to compare themself to Atlanta and a lack of Priorities and "It's always a study needed"

This went from being a good thing for the city to a power grab.

Not surprised, all of this foolishness is revenge, because the City Council, voted against hosting the Republic Convention.
People continue to talk about "Change" they fail to realize nothing is going to change until they vote people out!
That's why, TYSU need to be developing a plan to upgrade Hale or build a new facility and stop being dependent on others.
I have not heard the AD talk about Hale, beginning to think he is just talking out of the side of his nek - skinning and grinning in folks face. Thinking, those "N" don't know anything I can say anything and they will believe it.
Proof is in the pudding!

I've been saying this since we moved out of Hale into Nissan. In my opinion (and I definitely could be wrong), I believe Allen wants to play on campus. I'm not sure that Glover does.

Just me talking, if Allen want to play on campus, he has push it and not just mention it every now in then - exploring ways to find the money "bond, ticket prices, increase student activity fees" Need to see a plan.
If Glover, don't wan to, she definitely need to move on.
I can't imagine how much money TSU has given away to VANDY & [LP Field, NISSAN]over the years.

Look at it this way - since Allen was hired, how many decisions has HE made?
We know EG was not his decision, I'd bet everything in my wallet that Collins being renewed isn't his decision, and likely he isn't making the final decision on the stadium. If Glover was serious about playing on-campus, steps could have been taken long before Allen was hired.
So, who is really the AD here???

Dr. Allen mentioned upgrading Hale Stadium this past week when speaking with TSU football alumni last week. You may hear about it on our next podcast.
